Sunkist Series #2 hosted by Balboa Yacht Club saw light-air drifting on Saturday's inside racing and light-medium breeze with very bumpy water on Sunday's outside racing. Ullman Sails customers had no problem with speed on either day to take home trophies!

Racing in his first Harbor 20 race, Morgan Cooper crewed with his dad (Bruce Cooper) and Carolyn Hardy to take a second place in the "B" fleet behind the speedy Emil Piladifis, who single handed and took advantage of the light conditions. Harbor 20 Class "A" saw a duo of single handers take first and second with Peter Haynes nudging out Jim Kerigan. Way to go! The Harbor 20's race with jibs made by Ullman Sails.

The Lido 14 class "A" and "B" winners sailed with Ullman Sails. Walter and Terry Johnson won "A" class and Mark Hunter and his son won "B" class.

Sabot "A" was won by Ullman Sails customer Lynn Acosta.

On Sunday, the wind gods provided more wind and the big boats raced in 8-14 knots of wind from the inner harbor start, out to the Newport Pier and back in to the shorter (medium-high) wind finish position. The wind had been blowing harder before the start and kicked up lots of chop when the boats headed up the beach after "J" mark. Power and punch was needed!

Ullman Sails customer scored great in Class "A. Craig Reynolds NM-55 "BOLT*" took second, Tres Gordo Sailings A-50 "IT'S OK*" took third and Roy Jones J-133 "TANGO*" took forth.
Class "B" was won by the Richley Family on their Choate 48 "AMANTE", second was Bill Taylor on the R/P 42 "SCAVENGER" and in fourth was Peter Bretschger sailing his J-120 "ADIOS". All these trophy winners in "B" class sail with 100% Ullman Sails!"BOLT" and "WHISTLER" chasing Bruce/Morgan and crew on "LEGACY"

Back for more racing on Sunday was Morgan Cooper again crewing with Dad and crew on Brian & Betsey Dougherty's J-105 "LEGACY". Joining Morgan was his sister Kelsea Cooper and his cousin Hannah Cooper (racing her first race!). "LEGACY" beat Pete Johnstone's Schock 35 "WHISTLER" by only 6 seconds (tough rounding at the second rounding of "J" mark slowed down Whistler..more than 6 seconds!). Both "LEGACY" and "WHISTLER" sailed with 100% Ullman Sails.
