2011 Ullman Offshore Series Results

The 2011 Ullman Sails Offshore Series ended with the annual Santa Barbara to King Harbor Race.  After four events the top boats were closer than ever.  For the first time the series was not dominated by the big boys, and with the new scoring system everyone had a chance to shine.  The Andrews 39 Bien Roulee went into the final race with a chance to get the overall elapsed and corrected honors. Bien Roulee has had one of their best seasons yet and after the scores were tabulated they claimed top honors for the overall corrected title.  The Turbo Santa Cruz 70 OEX took the elapsed overall after they finished strong in the SB-KH race.

2011 marked a change in the scoring policy when classes were introduced based on boat size.  The Viper 830 Plankton made a strong showing and won the 20-29 foot division as well as getting second in the corrected overall category.

J-120 Shenanigans dominated the 40-49 foot range with consistent finishing and a commitment to doing all the races.

Ullman Sails is looking forward to the 2012 Offshore Series and are expecting to add one more race to the lineup and hope to encourage more sailors to participate in these fun and challenging races.
